The V.S. Hovnanian Group was founded in 1969. The company, and its predecessors, have built more than 5,000 residential units in New Jersey over the last 25 years. Construction of homes is conducted under the corporate name of Hovbilt, Inc. Hovbilt is a real estate development, construction and management company which focuses primarily on the development of planned residential communities.

The management team of the V.S. Hovnanian Group also operates several other companies related to the residential home industry. Grandview Cable is a satellite master antenna television company that provides cable television service to the communities built by Hovbilt. Clear Title Agency is a title insurance agency established in 1984, which provides title insurance policies not only to Hovbilt's customers but to other residential home owners in New Jersey.
